Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and ThriftyTurnip ("ThriftyTurnip", "we", "us", or "our") and govern your access to and use of the ThriftyTurnip website at thriftyturnip.com and our mobile application (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who May Use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your state) and able to form a binding contract to create an account. The Service is currently offered to users in the United States. You are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to your use of the Service.

2. What ThriftyTurnip Does

ThriftyTurnip helps households discover grocery deals and build weekly meal plans and shopping lists tailored to their preferences and local prices. We are an information and planning tool. We are not a grocery store, and we do not sell, supply, or deliver groceries. Any purchase you make is a transaction directly between you and the retailer.

3. Your Account

• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
• Notify us promptly at the contact address below if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Households and Members

The Service lets an account holder create a household and add members, including members without their own login (such as children) and members you invite by link. If you add or invite members, you represent that you are authorized to do so and to provide information about them, and you are responsible for the information you enter. You should limit information about children to what is needed to personalize recommendations. You can edit or remove members at any time in your preferences. 5. Subscriptions, Trials, and Billing

• Free trial: new households start with a free trial (currently 20 days) with no card required. Features and limits vary by plan.
• Paid plans: paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) through our payment processor, Stripe, using the payment method you provide.
• Automatic renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. Prices may change; we will give notice of changes as required by law.
• Cancellation: you may cancel at any time from the billing area of your account. Cancellation stops future charges; your paid access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial periods.
• Taxes: prices exclude taxes unless stated; you are responsible for any applicable taxes.

6. Deals, Prices, and Savings Estimates

Deal and price information is aggregated from retailers and other third-party sources and is provided for general informational purposes. Prices, promotions, and availability change frequently and may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or unavailable at your store. We do not set retailer prices and do not guarantee that any price or promotion shown will be honored.

Any savings figures, budgets, or estimates are illustrative only and are not a promise of actual savings, which depend on your choices, your store, and current prices. Always verify prices and product details with the retailer before purchasing.

7. Health, Dietary, and Allergen Information

Dietary, nutrition, and allergen features are provided for convenience and personalization only. They are not medical, dietary, or health advice, and they are not a guarantee that a product, ingredient, or meal is safe for you or free from any allergen. Product formulations change and our data may be incomplete. If you have a food allergy or medical dietary need, always read the product label and ingredient information at the point of purchase and consult a qualified professional. Do not rely on the Service to avoid an allergen.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Scrape, harvest, resell, or systematically extract data from the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or probe or test its security.
• Upload malicious code, or content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful.
• Misrepresent your identity or your authority to act for a household member.

9. Your Content

You may add content such as manual items, meal names, and preferences ("Your Content"). You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, reproduce, and process Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights to provide it.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and the ThriftyTurnip name and mascot, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

The Service relies on and links to third parties, including retailers, payment processing (Stripe), hosting and data services, analytics, and advertising. We do not control third parties and are not responsible for their content, products, prices, or practices. Your dealings with them are between you and them and may be subject to their own terms.

12. Advertising

The Service may display advertising, including sponsored partner promotions and third-party ads. Sponsored content is labeled. Advertising does not imply our endorsement, and we are not responsible for advertisers' offers or the goods and services they promote. 13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any information (including deals, prices, and recommendations) is accurate, complete, or current.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThriftyTurnip and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, savings, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or twenty U.S. dollars ($20). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ThriftyTurnip from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

16. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if we are required to by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as Sections 6–15 and 17) will survive.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Mississippi for any dispute not otherwise subject to a separate agreement, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

18. Changes to the Service and These Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. When we change these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice as appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
